During this session, Alistair will explore the powerful integration of Microsoft Fabric with the Microsoft Power Platform through Dataverse and explain how you can unlock seamless connectivity and optimise your data processes for efficiency and growth. This will include a brief introduction to Fabric components, an overview of options for connection Dataverse and Azure data services, a walkthrough on setting up the connection, and an end-to-end example of connecting relevant elements to create a usable Power BI report based on Dataverse data.

Alistair has been working in the world of data and AI for most of the last 10 years across all core data competencies with a focus on advanced analytics and engineering. This includes working in consulting / professional services for the last 7 years and project delivery across the data development lifecycle from concept to production at scale, including deliveries for customers such as ONS (Census Data Processing), DVSA (MOT Reporting), Hellofresh (data platform modernisation), HM Land Registry (AI Opportunity Assessment), and many others. Alistair is a data and technology enthusiast, certified across a number of cloud and data competencies, and his personal interests include Motorsport, 3D printing, and snooker.
