18:30 – Integrated Planning with Microsoft Fabric – From Silos to a Unified Approach
Planning remains a fragmented process in many organizations: Excel-based models, standalone planning tools, and manual coordination often exist alongside modern analytics platforms. The result is inconsistent numbers, high maintenance effort, and limited transparency across actuals, plans, and forecasts.
With the introduction of Planning in Microsoft Fabric, a new integrated approach emerges—bringing together planning, reporting, and analytics within a single platform. Instead of creating new silos, planning is built directly on top of existing data models and governance structures.
This session provides a practical perspective on Microsoft’s approach to planning in Fabric. We will explore common planning use cases, discuss where the real opportunities lie, and highlight current limitations. In addition, we will look at how organizations already working with Power BI or Fabric can get started in a structured way—without embarking on multi-year implementation projects.
