Session Abstract -

This session walks through a complete end-to-end CI/CD workflow in Microsoft Fabric, demonstrating how teams can safely develop, test, and promote changes across environments. Starting with the creation and branching of a feature workspace, we’ll implement and commit changes, configure environment-specific settings using parameter.yml, and finally merge code into higher environments. Attendees will gain practical insight into structuring Fabric workspaces, managing environment configurations, and applying CI/CD best practices for scalable and reliable deployments.

Biography

With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in designing and implementing cloud-based data and AI solutions. As a Senior Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft, I focus on leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI, and CI/CD practices to address customer needs and enable business transformation. My role includes leading technical engagements, optimizing workloads through well-architected frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and best practices.

My expertise lies in strategic initiatives for data and AI, empowering organizations to achieve their goals through optimized technical decisions and seamless cloud solutions. I am committed to fostering collaborative environments and delivering impactful outcomes that align with business objectives. My focus remains on addressing complex challenges with innovative strategies and implementing solutions that deliver sustained success.

Storms don’t wait for batch pipelines and neither should your data.

In this session, we’ll explore how to predict and respond to storm events in real time using Microsoft Fabric’s Real-Time Intelligence (RTI). Through a live, end-to-end demo, you’ll see how streaming data from weather signals and sensor feeds to contextual datasets—can be ingested, analysed, and turned into instant, actionable insights.

We’ll walk through how Fabric enables a unified, event-driven architecture where data is processed the moment it arrives, visualised in live dashboards, and used to trigger automated alerts and actions. From forecasting potential impact zones to notifying operations teams before flooding or overflow occurs, RTI transforms reactive decision-making into proactive intelligence.

You’ll gain a practical understanding of key components such as Eventstreams, real-time analytics, and alerting mechanisms, and how they come together to create intelligent, responsive systems that act on data in motion not hours later.

I’m a Senior Solution Engineer at Microsoft, specialising in Data & AI, where I help organisations unlock the value of their data through modern analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and real-time intelligence solutions. I work closely with customers to design and deliver scalable, end‑to‑end data platforms that turn complex, fragmented data into actionable insights.

With over 17 years of experience across cloud, data engineering, and analytics, I’ve supported initiatives ranging from modern data platform transformation to operational intelligence and AI‑driven decision-making.

I’m passionate about bringing technology to life through storytelling, demos, and community engagement. Outside of my role, I actively speak at events, mentor others in the Data & AI space, and share practical insights to help teams adopt emerging technologies with confidence.
