Your Digital Identity is the foundation of who you are in our modern online world. In this session we’ll take a quick trip down memory lane reminiscing on how our online digital identities have evolved and our early attempts at managing and securing them. We then look at the next wave of digital identity with decentralised digital identifiers and the promise of you being the master of your own identity.

We’ll look at real world examples and showcase Microsoft’s preview of Azure AD Verifiable Credentials.

Darren (Doc) Robinson was classically trained in Electronic and Software Engineering after which he immediately decided that writing software and designing microprocessor based hardware wasn't the career path for him. With 25+ years experience as an IT Professional working for global integrators, Darren has specialised in Directory Services in complex heterogenous environments and Identity Management. He is currently a Principal Consultant and the Principal Identity & Access Management Architect at Telstra Purple (nee Kloud (Sydney, Australia). He is also a Microsoft MVP (Enterprise Mobility – Identity & Access Management).
