ML.NET is an open source and cross-platform machine learning framework, built on .NET Core. It allows .NET developers to build custom machine learning models, using familiar languages such as C#, and re-use all the knowledge, skills, code, tools they have built up, making it easy to create and integrate machine learning into web, mobile, desktop, gaming, IoT apps, and more. This session will discuss the wider issue of language choice for machine learning and explore ML.NET, look the programming model, its feature set, and how to build and deploy ML models. It will use the project ‘RomCom or not RomCom’ - https://github.com/davidgristwood/rom-com-or-not-rom-com - to demonstrate an ML project in ML.NET. This session assumes familiarity with .NET, and some basic machine learning awareness.
