**About:**
Qays is a Senior Support Escalation Engineer at Microsoft. He started his career as a university graduate through the Aspire Program, first joining the SQL Server Reporting Services team before moving to the Power BI team.

For the past 7 years, he has been supporting customers across a wide range of Power BI areas, including data integration, connectors, gateways, Analysis Services, Kerberos authentication, and VNet gateways. His role is to help organizations troubleshoot complex issues and adopt best practices that maximize the value of their BI solutions.

Outside of his daily work, Qays runs a technical blog where he shares deep dives into topics often not well-documented online. Articles like Kerberos for Busy Admins and Fabric’s Throttling Policy Explained reflect his passion for bridging theory with practice, making complex technical concepts approachable and actionable.

This session explains the theory behind Microsoft Fabric capacity architecture so admins and users can understand how it works. We connect the concepts with the Capacity Metrics App, demonstrate how to monitor and protect capacity, explain throttling in practice, and share best practices.
