Hike Pace OptionsAll Paces Spend the Same Amount of Time Enjoying the Monuments Under the Full Moon. What Varies is the Pace BETWEEN Stops.

This events pace options are detailed below for you to review. When you RSVP, please answer the question asking which pace preference you prefer (if you know at this time but is not required). Having this information prior to the event, allows me to better forecast how many volunteers to ask to help out with each of the different paces — or if a certain pace is needed at all! So, a big thank you for helping us to better help you and in turn we all benefit.

Pace 1: Social walking pace of about 2.0mph. We usually have one to two groups led at this pleasant social walking pace. Please note that this is not a stroll but a hike.

Pace 2: A moderate pace of about 2.5-3.0mph which is the pace of an average hikers when we are hiking and used in most hike books as a rule of thumb for determining how long a hike will take. This is typically our most requested pace and we usually have at least 2 groups just for this pace and have had up to several.

Pace 3: If at least 4 people request this pace we are more than happy to offer this very brisk/workout pace of 3.5-4.0+mph. If you sign up for this pace, be sure to remember what you asked for-grin...so no complaints as it is not for the faint of hear and is a very fast hike pace.
