Jug Bay Wetland Sanctuary comprises one of the largest freshwater tidal wetlands on the East Coast. Habitats include hardwood forests, stream beds, non-tidal wetlands, and temporary vernal pools. We will observe ospreys and waterfowls.
This hike follows through the wetland area on a board walk, which leads to an observation platform over the Patuxent River. We will then continue in the woods on rolling hills, past streambeds on a trail finished by the Park last fall.
