Savage Park, Wincopin Trail, a 6.5 mile hike
This is a 6.5-mile modified loop trail, near Savage, MD. It is a very popular area for birding, fishing, and hiking. It’s an interwoven system of trails that travels through a forested park and includes a beautiful creek. There are some rocky and root areas, so watch your step! Beautiful views of the river. An excellent place for walking, running or mountain biking. The parking lot along Vollmerhausen Road has space for about 10 cars and includes a portable toilet. This is considered a moderate hike.
