Harper's Ferry Two-State Hike! A Moderately Stren 7.5-mile hike

Details

Harper’s Ferry “Two-State" Hike! A Moderately Strenuous 7.5-Mile Trek with a Meal from an Overlook of Harper's Ferry from Loudon Heights.

Our hike plan includes multiple views of Harper's Ferry and is a very scenic hike! Beginning with Loudon Heights, Va., we take on a 1200-ft climb that earns us multiple spectacular views. When we return, we trek a section of the Appalachian Trail across the Shenandoah River 340 bridge, past Jefferson Rock into beautiful downtown Harper's Ferry. We will be visiting many spectacular sites on both sides of the Potomac River on this very scenic Harper's Ferry hike! We then take the bus back to the Visitor Center.
Meal from the Overlook!
Be sure to pack a meal as we will be enjoying lunch from an overlook of downtown Harper's Ferry (weather permitting). This particular overlook provides an excellent opportunity for taking some awesome photos. As a bonus, we may get the chance to watch skilled rock climbers while we enjoy our meals.
