Details
Join us on Wednesday, June 11, 6:00 pm, at the Daniel Boone Regional Library in Columbia. M. Claire Keeler will present a program for us; “Eco-Anxiety: How to Cope In A Time of Climate Crisis”. Claire is an Eco-Therapist and has been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Columbia, Missouri for the better part of a decade. She focuses intently on recognizing, understanding and healing dynamics of inter-personal, cultural, and collective traumas, as well as deepening human relationships with the natural world. Part of her practice is in the area of Climate Shift anxiety and grief, something that most of us who are concerned about climate change suffer from, and has intensified during the last several months as environmental protections are being rolled back. We’ll meet in the Friends Room with light refreshments beginning at 6 pm. The program will begin at 6:30 pm.
