DETAILS
~10mile part loop/ part in and out (total 1,450 ft elevation gain) trail. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 4 h 30 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. Dogs are not allowed.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We will likely execute the trail clockwise. For the the first ~3 miles we will be bopping around some hills a little bit without much elevation gain. The we will continuously descend ~500 ft. for the next 2.5 miles. Then we will continuously ascend next 2.5 miles ~500ft and then rest of the way back to our cars. The hike is >3/4 shaded and <1/4 unshaded. It is expected to be a sunny day in mid-70s by mid-day- so pls bring your layers, hats, sunscreen, water. Note: this group hike speed is ~2- 2.5miles/hour
