Please join my Purple Dress Team Carole M - Bless Your Heart! on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Wear your ‘best’ purple dress and help me Know It, Fight It and End It. Ok, you can wear PJ’s, a tie or anything purple…you don’t have to run…just help me support finding an early diagnosis and cure for pancreatic cancer.
As a runner, it is a great park for running. It is great for strolling, too. Ok, so I stopped counting after 600 races, including: Baltimore Marathon, Bay-to-Breakers, Annapolis 10 Mile Run, Mount Penn Mud Fest, Race for the Cure and Hash Harriers Red Dress Run and now….
PURPLE DRESS RUN! My sister died within 3 months of being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Her only symptom before diagnosis was low grade fever for 30-days. It is a very deadly disease and survival rate is less than 6%. How could people not smile when they see a sea of purple dresses?
