
What we’re about
The Middle Tennessee Group, part of the Sierra Club, has monthly meetings held on the second Thursday at Radnor State Park and Natural Area Visitor Center. The social hour (free snacks and beverages!) starts at 6:30, followed by a speaker. Speaker topics cover a wide range of topics from ecotourism to outdoor adventures to birding to environmental protection. Meetings generally end before 9 PM. Pre-meeting hikes around Radnor Lake leave the parking lot at 5:30.
These events are open to everyone, and free.

Speaker: Nathan Fields from Plant for a ChangeHow can we change how we landscape our manmade world to reverse the harm we do? Nathan Fields, co-owner of Plant for a Change, will explain the critical importance of native seed preservation and how our everyday plant choices can have positive impacts for the environment and communities.
The first native plant business co-managed and co-owned by people with and without disabilities, Plant for a Change was launched in May 2020 by a team of alumni from Vanderbilt’s Next Steps and Peabody Education programs who were members of InterVarsity, a Vanderbilt campus faith group that includes people with and without disabilities.
Social gathering with refreshments begins at 6:30The optional pre-program hike on Lake Trail meets in parking lot at 5:30.
