What we’re about
Middle Tennessee Group is the local group of the Sierra Club, one of the oldest and largest environmental organizations in the U.S. Our greatest mission is to get everyone outdoors to experience nature, as well as to support clean air, clean water, and clean soil. We host frequent hikes, experiences, and events in the Middle Tennessee area. These are open to everyone and are usually free.

Sierra Club Middle Tennessee Group is hosting a Wildflower Walk on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Beaman Park. Why now? Because the Cranefly Orchids are blooming. We will be led by a naturalist from the park. We will get our shoes wet in the Henry Creek so be prepared. We have to go where the orchids grow. We will hike about two miles. Bring a phone or camera to take photos. Bring a water bottle and a snack. Any rain cancels. Here's a link to register and sign a waiver.
