Stony Kill Falls & Awosting Falls

I didn't get to visit these two falls in April, and the desire is still strong. The forecast this week is rain up until Thursday, and then a gorgeous weekend, so the falls should be flowing!

Stony Kill Falls is a short, pleasant stroll to a great 90-ft waterfall. We can then go up to top of the falls for some nice views. I've heard there are swimming holes beyond the top of the falls, but I hadn't gone to them in prior visits.

I've also read people also swim around in the bottom of the falls, but in my past visits I believe there was signage saying not to do so. That all said, I plan to stay dry but feel free to take a dip in the pools up top.

Awosting Falls is only a 13 minute drive away over in Minnewaska. Its so close to Stony Kill, why not see both :D Park entry does cost $10 per car though.

Both trails are listed on AllTrails as being 1 mile each, out-and-back. Though we can also get in some more steps in Minnewaska if folks are up for it.

Afterwards, if anyone's interested we can head into New Paltz to grab a bite.
