It's finally warming up, and it's been pretty rainy...a perfect time to view some falls :)

Let's get in a nice hike and check out Awosting Falls in Minnewaska State Park Preserve. The plan is to do the Bull Wheel to High Peter's Kill trail.

https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-york/awosting-falls-and-peters-kill--2

Per the reviews, this trail starts out with a narrow path that includes roots and mild rock scrambles. The second half of the hike has wider paths and carriage roads which will lead us to the falls.

Be prepared to spend at least two-and-a-half hours hiking (5.1 miles total)

Depending on how folks are feeling after the hike, perhaps we can head into New Paltz for food and/or drinks.

The park has a $10 fee per vehicle

Well behaved puppers are welcome🐶

Important Stuff:

  • Park in the Lower Awosting Lot. There will be a grace period to allow us all to meetup. Please try to be at the park no later than 10:15am
  • If you're interested in carpooling, please comment below to see if anyone else is up for it.
  • Per park rules, doggos must be leashed.
