Continuing our amazing epic journey along the Pembrokeshire Coast our 4th weekend away bring new delights and old joys.
As well as offering walkers spectacular coastal scenery and wildlife, you can see many reminders of ancient maritime traditions from the Neolithic cromlechs and Iron Age promontory forts to the churches and chapels of the seafaring early Celtic saints and their followers.
The Vikings took interest in the area, reflected today in a legacy of place names such as Goodwick near Fishguard and the islands of Skomer and Skokholm.
The Normans built massive castles, such as those at Pembroke, Tenby and Manorbier, to assert their authority. Today these castles are reminders that, despite its peripheral geographical position, Pembrokeshire once played a key role in major events.
All of it is absolutely stunning.
Our accommodation is the National Trust owned Stackpole Swan House and KIngfisher properties providing us on this occasion with lots of rooms for couples as well as the more usual shared bunk rooms.
Arrival at our accommodation is from anytime after 5pm on Friday but we will lay on our usual bonus walk on Friday to make the most of our trip away.
Friday is also a celebration night so you can look forward to a gala dinner and fun night.
Help yourself breakfasts and lunch packups are provided for Saturday and Sunday as is hot food Friday, Saturday and Sunday but feel free to bring desserts, cakes and other goodies to share as well as your own drinks. Tea and coffee will be provided.
Routes and options will be discussed with everyone on arrival to ensure we are meeting overall expectations but there is loads to choose from.
Accommodation is single sex bunk rooms of a variety of sizes with full bedding provided but not towels. On this occasion there are a number of double or twin rooms for couples as well.
Regular attendees and Life Members have been able to make pre-publication bookings for this and selected other events so some places have already been taken.
Those booking now need to make a non-refundable deposit of £35 per person to reserve your place together with the appropriate Meetup booking fee.
There is a further £45 to pay on or around 1st February 2027 to confirm your booking.
The final balance of £95 per person is payable via BACS at least 12 weeks before the event date being 26/03/2027.

If you have to cancel with more than 28 clear days notice the full value of the balance payment will be refunded. The deposit value or its equivalent will always be non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or postponed. No refunds will be provided to those cancelling with less than 28 clear days notice. ("clear" means does not include event start date or cancellation date!
We Do Outdoors - Midlands is a new name for an existing group but now associated with two other groups of similar name that go back more than 12 years. Whilst we will in time introduce a subscription based model the first 100 to attend an event will automatically become Life Members without ever being required to pay for membership at all. As well as freeing you from future non-member levies this will also give you access to reduced price pre-publication offers for all our future chargeable events.
