About us
Are you in your 40s, 50s, or 60s and looking to expand your social circle? This group is designed to bring people together with fun, low-stress, interactive, in-person events.
{ BTW, there's also a MeetUp group for those in their 20s-30s -- pass it on to the young adults you know! }
Speed-FRIENDING for Mid-Lifers
These free events are hosted by the West Linn Library and give everyone the chance for a brief conversation with everyone else, regardless of gender or relationship status. Knowing everyone’s there for the same reason – to make new friends -- can make it easier to put yourself out there!
These events are not romantic in nature and you do not have to live or work in W.Linn to participate – all who are able and willing to be kind, respectful, and good-natured are welcome including singles, individuals who are partnered, as well as couples looking for friends to socialize with as a couple.
WALK-&-TALK Singles' Mingle for Mid-Lifers
Sometimes meeting new people is as easy as a walk in the park -- literally!
These events are also free and designed to give folks the chance for a number of brief conversations, regardless of gender or orientation. These events are specifically for singles, but not exactly a dating event -- they are structured, guided experiences in a park with several activities and conversation prompts designed to drive discussions deep. All are seeking real connection -- be it platonic or romantic, friendship or love -- and all who are able and willing to be open, curious, and kind are welcome.
MEET'CHA THERE Community Events
These are select events happening in the community or hosted by other MeetUp organizers. They provide added opportunities to get out and meet people. As with all the other events, those who are able to be real, openhearted, and kind are welcome to join in.
YOU'RE INVITED!
Come -- expand your social network, discover novel interests, explore new friendships, and have a great time in the process.
NOTE
The focus of this group and its events is on meeting people, enjoying conversation, and potentially forging new relationships, either platonic or romantic. Please, no youngins and no soliciting.
I'm so looking forward to this and am excited to meet you or see you again!

🩷 WHY WE DO THIS
This isn’t just about finding your person or posse – it's an opportunity to open up and live with intention. When we show up authentically, and are willing to be vulnerable, we open ourselves up to real magic! You may or may not find a potential date or your next bestie at any particular event...
But you will have the opportunity to enjoy a lil’ socializing and solid conversation with the natural beauty of the PNW as our shared backdrop!
*💲* WHAT'S THE COST?
We introduced Walk-&-Talks to the Finding Friends group in fall 2025. This fan-fav is so popular, 80 people registered for the Dec event... in the end, 40 turned out.Attendees raved about the event, but we learned 40 may be about the max we can accommodate!
Because of the demand, and to help us keep this much-loved event as robust and vibrant as possible, it now has a nominal fee. In light of this, we added an additional 1/2 hour, allowing for more one-on-one conversations, and reviewed and refined the overall structure of the event.
So, how much does it cost? We aimed for a tiny ticket price that wouldn’t be a burden -- the stated price is $6.50. However, MeetUp charges registrants a surcharge, and this is not something they allow us, as organizers, to absorb.
We calculated it so that your total charge should be just about $8.
Thank you, thank you, for your phenomenal interest and for keeping the fun alive and the magic flowing!
.
We look forward to meeting you out on the trail!

.PS: If you choose to bring a dog, you are responsible for it, including it's behavior and if / how it impacts others. If necessary, you will be asked to leave. And please do -not- keep a pup in your vehicle -- it isn't always safe!
