Abstract
Learning something new can feel intimidating, especially when it involves hardware, electronics and moving parts. This session shows how a developer can use existing software skills to break down unfarmiliar problems, prototype quickly, troubleshoot failures and build confidence. We'll look at what it takes to build to go outside a developer's comfort zone and build something physical with electronics that are connected to the cloud.
Bio
Jim Rieck has been helping companies build custom software solutions using a variety of solutions since 1998. Over the years, he has worked in the boating, fin-tech, automotive, accounting, tele-communications, health care, e-commerce and the service industries. He has lead app dev teams, developer training programs and technical user groups. He is very passionate about architecting solutions using the latest technologies and leading teams to strive for excellence.
