Evening Hike at Black Hoof Park at Lake Lenexa

Let’s take an evening hike at Blackhoof park. We will start intros at 5 and then head on our way.
Park in the Oak Shelter (as seen above on the pedestal) parking lot which is the parking lot North of the boat ramp parking. If you see the boat ramp and a good view of the lake, you are in the wrong parking lot. If no roundabout in front, wrong parking lot. We will hike to the dam and take the paved trail below and then back to the dirt trail through the woods and stop at the marina. This is a point where people can leave halfway if needed. Then we head out southwest for a loop to the other part of the park then back to the parking lot for a total of just over 5 miles.

If you arrive late you can try and meet us at the dam. We start out by going left on the trail from the parking lot and going out below the dam and doubling back to the dam. So that is a good place to catch up with us before the rest of the hike.

Bring water and put on bug spray.
