It’s spooky season so let’s take inspiration from the king of spook…Mr Poe! Union Cemetary is the perfect place for combining Fall foliage with history and hiking…and spooky tales! We will meet at the Cottage at 3:30 before it closes 4. This is where you can pick up info about the oldest public park in the city that happens to be the “final resting place for over 55,000 souls”…including many of Kansas City’s founders.

This will be a meandering hike along hills surrounded by pines and oaks on the 27 acre park. We will be there between the two events the park is hosting: Cottage Creative Writing Class from 12-3 and Electric Poe presented by the Coterie Theatre at 6:30. This park offers events year round so let’s take a hike through one of our cities iconic places and learn about what it has to offer in beauty, history, and cultural experiences.

See you at the Cottage! 🎃
