Exploring Hike

New to KC or find yourself driving through a neighborhood and think you’d like to stop and explore? Now’s your chance…each exploring hike will cover a different area of KC and surrounding areas.

This leg will be backtracking due to parking issues at our last turnaround—The Bar on 47th. This time we will begin at Rockcreek Brewing Company and go towards The Bar on 47th to Shawnee Indian Mission Historical Site (which, for persoective sake, is a few blocks West of The Bar on 47th). SIMHS will be our turnaround point.

We will begin the hike at 1:30 pm. There will be approximately 2 hours hike time to cover 5 miles of hiking. After the hike, we will grab a beer at Rockcreek for anyone who cares to join in some post hike banter 😉

Flatlanders Ski and Snowboard shop, The Running Well Store, Lulu’s Boutique featuring pre-loved designer clothng, The Snack Shack, Sushi Karma, Werner’s Fine Sausages, The Bookclub Bookstore, The Primrose, Sandhills Brewing, Urban Prairie Coffee, and Mission Board Games.

Fairwaykansas.org under “community” scroll to the bottom of the page for a link to their site. This is a museum worth returning to for a visit but for our hike, we will only be covering the grounds outside.
