Parkville Nature Sanctuary Hike
Details
Let’s take advantage of the sunshine forecast for Sunday and hike 2-3 miles through the wooded sanctuary keeping our eyes peeled for wildlife.
No dogs.
Meet at the picnic tables just East of the parking lot where the pin points on the map.
When the parking lot is full, people have parallel parked along the street that goes up the hill with no problems.
Trails are a mix of level ground and steep hills, mulch, tree roots and rocks, crushed rock and dirt with minimal if any contact with vegetation.
Hiking shoes and poles aren’t required, but are helpful on rough and steep sections of the trail.
Be prepared to hike a casual to moderate pace and stay together as a group. We’ll stop occasionally to catch our breath and take in the sights.
After a brief hello, description of the event and first name introductions, will head out.
Please,
… do not ask or expect anyone to wait or respond to messages while the meet up is in progress so the host can focus on leading the assembled group, and others won’t be distracted.
… do not suggest alternate meeting points, or anything else contrary or in addition to what the host provides for this event.
… understand the host’s cell phone gets no attention while driving to an event.
… keep RSVPs current and check back here for updates.
Let’s hike!
