What we’re about

Julia is a high-level dynamic scientific programming language. It provides support for parallel computing and can be magnitudes faster than other scientific computing languages such as R and Python.

You should consider joining this Meetup if you are a data professional located in the Midwest who is either evaluating Julia as a solution or is currently using Julia in your projects.

The goals of the Midwest Julia Users Meetup are to:

-Illustrate use cases in industry and research
-Provide unbiased speed benchmarking relative to other statistical programming languages
-Educate members about Julia programming
-Help job seekers find employers and help employers find Julia talent
-Serve as a forum for innovation in Julia programming e.g. cloud computing, new packages
