Come Camping and Hiking With Us at Peninsula State Park!

Join the Midwest Adventurers for an exciting camping trip at Peninsula State Park! Whether you're a beginner or experienced adventurer, this event is perfect for those looking to enjoy nature, embrace the fall weather in a beautiful setting, and create unforgettable memories with the Midwest Adventurers. Nestled in the heart of Door County, Wisconsin, this stunning park offers breathtaking views of Green Bay, vibrant autumn foliage, and endless outdoor activities. Whether you're a seasoned camper or a first-timer, come connect with nature and great company! Grab your tent, hiking boots, and adventurous spirit, and get ready for an epic weekend camping at the Orchard Group Site at Peninsula State Park! All Group sites in this park are walk-to sites, this campsite is approximately 130 feet from the parking lot. Bring a cart if you luxury camp (like me) so that you can carry your gear with ease.
What to Bring:

• Tent, sleeping bag, and camping essentials
• Warm clothing, hiking boots, and rain gear
• Reusable water bottle, flashlight, and personal items
• Food, snacks, water, drinks, BYOB
• Optional: trekking poles, camera, binoculars, bike, or kayak
• A cart to haul your gear from the parking lot to the campsite.

Weather
This is a fall trip, please check the weather forecast and come prepared for cooler temperatures. Expect cool fall temps (40-60°F). Pack layers, a warm sleep system, sturdy shoes, and rain gear just in case.
Friday
We will be at a group site called Orchard Group Site both nights. Arrive any time after 3pm. Unpack, get your tent set up and relax. We will probably go in town for our usual Friday night fish fry if you would like to join. Bring cash to avoid splitting checks. If you don't want to come along, prepare and the eat your own dinner and we'll gather around the campfire afterward.
Saturday
Wake and eat your breakfast and we'll corral the troops to start exploring the park the park together. We can plan a hike or 2, and enjoy the day. Bring your backpack with snacks and water.
Sunday
Check out is at 1pm. We’ll have breakfast, and we can do another hike before we check out. You can venture off on your own, pack up and visit the surrounding area for the day, or head home when you are ready.
Fees
Your $30.00 meetup fee covers $25 for 2 nights of camping costs, $3 in Meetup fees and $2 in firewood. The fee DOES NOT cover personal equipment or food. You will need a WI state pass to enter the park.

• Payment is due 48 hours after signing up. Full refunds will be honored if notified by Oct 1st. Please send your fee by Venmo @SweetDLV - Last 4 of my cell is 6687. When you make your payment, please let us know what trip this is for since we have many trips scheduled, and only a few organizers handling the funds. Thank you.
