May 27th 2020 Virtual Meetup

Join us for our May 2020 Virtual Meetup starting at 3:00pm CST on May 27th. We will Mr. Michael Bender, Author Evangelist with Pluralsight joining us to chat about training and certifications (no sales pitches of course!) - see the abstract below. We will also have a brief demo period showcasing some profile tricks for Windows Terminal and the WSL. We may even have a surprise giveaway for folks that join the call.

In today's talk on training and certification, you'll get a brief introduction to industry certifications and training to achieve them along with information for simply skilling-up your career. The focus will be vendor-agnostic so you can use the learnings across whatever tech stack you need to focus on. Topics will include:
• Do certs matter?
• How do I pick a cert?
• Where do I start learning?
You'll leave with a bunch of resources you can use to skill up your career and get going on that certification you've wanted to take.
