## 💡 Idea

Remove priority access from event waitlists and move to a single, fair waitlist.

## 🧠 Problem and goal

Today, event waitlists give paid users priority over free users, which many organizers perceive as unfair and misaligned with how they want to manage their events. This dynamic creates friction and frustration, especially since organizers care primarily about filling spots fairly rather than monetizing access to the waitlist.
If the monetization upside of prioritizing paid users is limited, we should consider removing this distinction and moving to a single waitlist for all attendees. The goal is to simplify the model, reduce organizer dissatisfaction, and align the waitlist experience more closely with organizers’ expectations of fairness.
