What we’re about
Are you a maker in the Milford, CT area? Do you knit, crochet, needlepoint or indulge in any other portable craft? If so, come make with us!
This is a group for local makers, fiber artists, and crafters to gather and work on our projects (BYO materials) over a good cup of coffee (or tea), with a side of great conversation. Come share what you are working on, learn from others, or just enjoy the company of fellow makers.
This is a welcoming and inclusive group for makers of all types and skill levels. We meet up at various locations in the greater Milford, Connecticut area (times and dates to be announced). All we ask is that you make at least a small purchase from the local business kind enough to host us!

March Weekday Makers Meetup & Craft Supply Swap!
Milford Public Library, 57 New Haven Avenue, Milford, CT, USCalling all crafters! Our March weekday meetup will be in conjunction with the Milford Public Library and include our first Craft Supply Swap!
There's no better time than March to do some spring cleaning! If you’re a crafter, you know the struggle: a “stash” full of supplies that are still waiting for the right project. Thin out your collection, declutter your craft space or find new inspiration with our community-building Craft Supply Swap. A perfect chance to re-home tools and materials that you aren’t using and trade them for something that sparks your creativity.
Everyone is welcome – whether you’re donating or just looking for inspiration!
How the Swap Works
· Drop-off: When you arrive, place your items on the designated tables.
· The "First Look": Once everything is set up, we’ll have a "browse-only" period so everyone can see the treasures available.
· The Swap: We’ll then open the floor! If we have a large crowd, we’ll use a lottery system to ensure everyone gets a fair turn.
· The Wrap-Up: Any remaining items can be taken back home by the original owner, or we will handle the donation to local charities and organizations.
What can you bring?
If you can craft with it, you can bring it! We accept new or gently used craft supplies of ALL kinds.
· Popular items: Yarn, paint, brushes, paper, stickers, beads, buttons, fabric, sewing notions, markers & pens, scrapbooking supplies, and tools (glue guns, knitting needles, etc.).
· Pro-Tip: Please bundle small or loose items and label them if possible.
· Quality Check: Please bring items you’d be proud to give to a friend (nothing broken, dried-out or unusable).
· High-Value Items: If you’re bringing a high-value item (like a specialized tool), please email Liz G. at milfordmakersct@gmail.com in advance.
Can I participate if I don’t donate?
Absolutely! This event is about community and creativity. Whether you bring a trunk-load of supplies or come with empty hands, you are welcome to take home new treasures.
The meetup will be in the Library Program Room on the 1st floor near the rear entrance to the library. Additional event details can be found on the Milford Public Library program calendar: Milford Makers Meet-Up
This is a bring-your-own beverage and food event. Please ensure that all beverages are in a closed/lidded container. Hope to see you there!3 attendees
