The Son of a Thousand Men is a Brazilian drama film about a lonely fisherman named Crisóstomo who forms an unconventional family with a young orphan boy named Camilo. The film explores themes of community, acceptance, and the complexities of human relationships. This is Daniel Rezende's fifth movie, after graduating from film editing. (He was Oscar nominated, and won a BAFTA, for City of God 2002.)

(NB. We don't watch it together. We watch it and then meet, in person, to discuss it. Like a Book Club, but with films!)
