Black-a-tor copse and Meldon reservoir

Details

It's been a while! :)
Starting at prewley moor car park, we'll initially head out towards Shelstone Tor with views over Meldon, before dropping down into the valley, and up to Black-a-tor copse, which is very similar to Wistmans wood,
Depending on how everyone's feeling, we'll either just head to Black Tor for some lunch & stunning views over the valley, before continuing over to longstone hill & loop back around Meldon reservoir to the cars,
approx 6 miles
(rough route: https://www.outdooractive.com/en/route/hiking-trail/south-west-england/black-a-tor-copse-and-meldon/190919775/#dm=1)

Or if everyone's feeling a bit more energetic, we'll walk alongside black-a-tor copse following the West Okement river for a while, before a very steep climb up to Fordsland ledge and on to the highest tor on Dartmoor - (Highwillhays) for lunch there.
Then continue on to Yes Tor, before descending, picking up the army track over West Mill Tor, before re-joining the tracks leading down to Meldon reservoir, & joining up with the other route back round to the cars - approx 10 miles in total.

The stretch up to black-a-tor copse can be pretty wet underfoot, (& likely will be given the rain due this week) so, as always good boots essential.

End time is an estimate, it’s an area of the moor I know very well so the route will vary depending on attendees and conditions on the day.
