What we’re about
If you’re anything like me, life is moving fast – and you need new friends to ride along. In this group, forming friendships is more important than finding event partners. We kill the awkwardness of meeting strangers by keeping all activities small and personal. All events will have 12 or less attendees, with the exception of parties, picnics, and potlucks. Bottom line: Awkward Meetups with 62 random other members just won't cut it.
I was born in the late eighties. I limited this group to women born 1982-1992 so we could always be in a similar life stage. But that's where the exclusiveness ends. We’re open-minded and inclusive. Our industries are diverse – from fashion to finance, media to medicine, pharmaceuticals to photography, entertainment to engineering. Our zip codes range from the East Village to East Harlem, Soho to Sunset Park, Williamsburg to Woodlawn, Crown Heights to Chelsea, Astoria to Annadale. Our activities range from food to fitness, brunches to beer, museums to movies, clubbing to crafts.
We have a strict no-flake/unsure policy:
Members must visit the event page within four months to stay in the group.
RSVPs open 10 days in advance, so check back later to reserve your spot. For example, you can RSVP for a June 21st brunch starting the evening on June 11th.
Always leave your phone number when you RSVP for an event – I send text messages for day-of updates. RSVPs without phone numbers are instantly deleted.
Update your RSVP by the deadline if you can’t make it! Our events have a smaller headcount than most, so attendance does matter.
Things happen at the last minute, and that’s okay! Just let me know. If you must cancel your attendance after the RSVP deadline, leave a message or be counted as a no-show. I will remove no-shows from the group on a regular basis.
If you’re on the waitlist: 1) check the page often for last-minute spots – something almost always opens up! 2) PM me your phone number with the event title on the subject line. I’ll text you if a spot opens up!
