Join us for an inspiring Lunch Bunch featuring Angela Poen, founder and president of Community Garden Kitchen. Angela will share the inspiring story of how a simple kitchen-table conversation in 2014 grew into a vital nonprofit serving Collin County. Community Garden Kitchen provides freshly prepared, nutritious meals in a welcoming, restaurant-style setting—no paperwork, no questions asked. In addition to daily meal service, the organization maintains an on-site teaching garden, donates surplus produce to local food pantries, and is developing a culinary training program to equip young adults with valuable job skills in the food industry.

Angela Poen is the president and executive director of the Community Garden Kitchen of Collin County. In Collin County, 27.3 percent of school-age children are food insecure. Concerned about the hunger in our community, Ms. Poen and a group of citizens, educators and business professionals joined together to raise funds for the Community Garden Kitchen of Collin County.
