MilSec Meetup: The State of Information Technology in Wisconsin

Join MilSec for the October meetup at the New Berlin Ale House on Thursday, October 29th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM! Enjoy a few drinks while networking with fellow infosec people. Drinks will be provided.

This month, we have Mike Goetzman, the organizer of CypherCon & SecretCon, coming to talk to us about the state of the information technology community in Wisconsin.

Mike will be presenting in the Party Room at New Berlin Ale House starting around 6:10 PM, with networking time to follow in the main bar area.

Here is some more information about Mike's upcoming talk:

Abstract:

Our community needs us; it won’t defend itself. Join me for a casual no-bullshit discussion on the past and present state of Wisconsin’s information technology: security, privacy, and hacker community. We’ll chat about what we stand for, privacy with AI, and how we turn local connections into collective power.

Hope to see you there!
