Writing Critique Meeting (Bi-Weekly)

Date: Saturday, September 13, 2025
Time: 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Location: Milwaukee Central Library (814 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53233), Business Commons (2nd Floor), Connection Room
Parking: On weekends, there is free 2-hour parking around the building and on adjacent streets. The library is also reachable by bus.

A few months ago we had our first meeting, and those who were able to attend have kept in touch via email and met roughly biweekly since. I'm to blame for neglecting this Meetup site -- in the interest of opening our group to new members, I'll be posting future events here so they're accessible to the public. Before each meeting, somebody volunteers to share a piece of their writing (no more than 3,000 words) for the group to read and give constructive feedback on. Meetings typically begin and end with general, or SF-related, conversation. (New members are welcome to attend and see what we're all about. If, prior to your first meeting, you'd like to read the volunteer's writing and participate in the feedback/critique session, feel free to reach out to me.)

I'll bring some finger food (keeping in mind common dietary restrictions). If you have any trouble finding the location above, library staff will be happy to help. (This event's photo shows what the Connection Room looks like. It is on the left side of the Business Commons area, which is on the 2nd floor of the Milwaukee Central Library.)
