Join us for a 3.-4 mile winter hike at Wehr Nature Center on Sunday, January 25 at 10am. We will meet at the bottom of the hill by the street entrance to the Nature Center. You can park for free on the street across from the entrance on Whitnall Park Drive. (The Wehr Parking lot has a $5 parking fee.). We will walk up the hill to the Visitors Center for a quick stop, then we will hike around Mallard Lake with a stop at a waterfall and complete portions of the Woodlands and Grasslands loops.

Jim would rate this hike easy to easy-medium. However, due to the time of year, trails may be icy, snow covered, muddy or dry. Please wear appropriate footwear. This hike is NOT dog/pet friendly. Wehr Nature Center is a nature preserve, and they have strictly enforced rules about keeping dogs/pets off their trails, unless it is a trained service dog.

  • The hike is NOT dog/pet friendly and they have strictly enforced rules about keeping dogs/pets off their trails, unless it is a trained service dog.

MSP wants to remind everyone that hiking can be rigorous, so you do so at your own risk.

The hike is weather permitting and updates will be posted by 8am on the day of the hike.

Looking forward to seeing you all!
