5 Mile Hike at Minooka Park
Details
This event is weather dependent. Updates will be posted day of the event in case of changes.
If you're looking for an advanced level, 5 mile hike we have the one for you!
Join Jim on a 5 Mile Hike at Minooka Park on Saturday, June 20 at 10 am. Meet at Parking lot 1 (beach parking lot, first parking area on the right after entering the park) at 10am. The hike is dog friendly as long as the dog is leashed. This is an advanced hike with varying terrain and at least one steep hill. About 2/3 of the way through the hike there will be a restroom/water break at Parking lot/picnic area 5. We recommend bringing some water with you, especially if it is hot out. This is a Waukesha County Park and is the largest at that covering 579 acres.
Car entrance requires either a daily pass ($7) or annual pass ($40) to the Waukesha County Park System. The entrance station is not staffed, and enforcement is enforced by a license plate reader at the entrance station…be sure to enter your license plate correctly. We recommend purchasing prior to getting to the park, but you may be able to do it on your phone once you are in the park.
Updates posted prior to 8am on the day of hike in case of inclement weather. For more details on the location:
MSP wants to remind everyone that hiking can be rigorous, so you do so at your own risk.
If you read the entire description, this is definitely not a Ryan hike and so Ryan likely will home doing yard work.
