Sketching at the Mitchell Park Domes (Holiday Show)

For this meet-up we will be sketching at the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory ("The Domes") on Layton Blvd. in Milwaukee! The conservatory features three main domes, all of which have their own theme - Desert, Tropical, and Floral. They feature a diverse variety of plant-life from around the world.

The Domes will be hosting their annual Holiday Show while we are there - one of the Milwaukee's top winter attractions! A new theme brings a new look each year, but you can expect to find a display featuring poinsettias, chrysanthemums, amaryllis, and other plants as well as a decorated spruce.

The meeting will be held on Saturday, December 6th from 9:30am to 12:00pm. We will be meeting inside the front entrance past the ticket booth, look for the people holding their sketchbooks. Because the domes are indoors, we will be meeting rain or shine!

**Please do not bring pastels or charcoal to the Domes, the dust can negatively impact the plant life.**

What to bring: Please feel free to bring a sketchbook and whatever art supplies you prefer to sketch with, except for charcoal and pastels as mentioned above.

Parking: The Domes have a large parking lot.
