東京都港区を拠点に活動する八丈太鼓の会です。
地域のお祭りやイベントへの出演、ワークショップの開催などを通じて、八丈太鼓の魅力を多くの人に伝え、人と人との繋がりを大切にしています。
伝統的なリズムを基本にしながら、伝統と革新を融合させ、八丈太鼓の新たな魅力を探求しています。太鼓を楽しみながら一緒に学び、次の世代へ伝えていくことを目標としています。
東京都八丈島に伝わる八丈太鼓は、二人一組で1つの太鼓を使い、力強さと繊細さを兼ね備えた演奏が特徴です。お互いの息を合わせ、即興的に叩かれる太鼓は、一人一人違った個性の響きを大切にしています。
This is the Hachijo Taiko Association, based in Minato Ward, Tokyo.
By performing at local festivals and events, and holding workshops, we aim to spread the appeal of Hachijo Taiko to many people and to foster connections between people.
Based on traditional rhythms, we are fusing tradition with innovation to explore new possibilities for Hachijo Taiko. Our goal is to have fun while learning together and pass on the art of Taiko to the next generation.
The Hachijo Taiko drums, which are played in Hachijojima, Tokyo, are performed by a pair of musicians using one drum, and are characterized by a performance that combines strength and delicacy. The drums are played in a coordinated and improvised style, and the unique sounds of each individual are treasured.
