I came from a low socioeconomic background, am one of 8 children and i moved out at 15. I was a junior at 15 and through hard work and dedication was promoted quickly, becoming a finacial controller at 25.
I ran around in the corporate space for 30 years and in the last 8 years i was in mergers and acquistions. This is where i found my passion for human behaviour as it was my role to meld the teams together following company purchase.
The high drama of people suddenly finding themselves in a new corporate space, where their livelihood was on the line was like the devils playground for the best and the worst of human behaviour. In amongst it all was negotiating those emotional rollercoasters and which people to keep and who needed to go.
I was on my own rollercoaster and for me it ended in burnout. I felt for the people, the power play and although it was a commercial decision it was steeped in the consequence of human emotio0n. The step into learning about how to empower others in this situation was imperative, especially as i realised the toll on families, including my own family, as well as the company and individuals.
I realised that by changing your thinking you can change your life. I set out to do that for others and have been successfully helping corporations and individuals manage change, working in my own business since 2009.
