Weekly Online Meetup - Inspiring Change Inside & Out

Details

Hey Hey Mind Body Movers,

It's been a very long time.

There are so many members looking to uplift your wellbeing.

A key aspect is eating as much wholefood plant-based as much as you can.

We are sharing this event from a Sydney tribe called V Stars - which is
about inspiring a plant-based world from the inside out.

Plants heal! But with the sour puss news of covid-19, we all need more inspiring stories.

If you are doing something cool, feel free to reach out to the organiser and I'll be happy to spotlight you.

Whether it's at home, at work, to create a more beautiful world...or sometimes even where it all begins, within!

We are scheduling a series of online meetups so we can connect and be inspired again.

  • We'll always be here to answer questions about doing plant-based well. * You'll hear many wonderful personal stories of change.
  • Anything goes, as long as there is a positive ray of change.

In case I didn't mention, we'll talk about the latest plant-based news as well.

Start Time:
06:00 Introduction
06:10 - 06:30 We 🍽 up share our dishes and answer any questions on going meat-free.
06:30 - 07:00 - A guest/topic spotlight.

This week's special guest is Clare Edwards from Brain-Smart.com

As we come up to the silly season, we'll have family functions with lots of meat and uncomfortable conversations. So this topic is very relevant.

SERVE YOURSELF FIRST! A Focus on Self-care for the Silly Season
An 'Eat, Learn, Grow' Session from BrainSmart

As we officially enter what’s been coined ‘the silly season’, it’s a good time to take a step back and reflect on how you want to be in it, meaning, do you just want to get through and survive, or do you want to look back and be grateful for a time of connection, restoration and joy?

The silly season brings with it myriad challenges including for many:-
• a major business ramp up/wind down
• extended time with relatives we haven't connected with in a while
• our values being challenged with differences in opinion and taste
• sensitivities and emotions surfacing after a year of suppression
• challenges to our physical and mental health

Serve yourself First! is an exploration into the world of self-care from differing perspectives and why, though maybe an overused cliché, we need to metaphorically put on our own oxygen masks first, before helping others.

There are conditions that our brains and bodies require to function effectively and when any of those conditions are neglected, the whole system is impacted and with negative consequences.

It’s time to invest some quality time learning about the benefits of self-care, what self-care does to our amazing brains (the neuroscience of self-care) and simple, easy-to-implement strategies to replenish your cup and recharge your batteries for good!

This silly season, let’s set ourselves up for success not stress!

About the V Star Speaker: Clare’s early career was spent in hospitality, in Front Office Management for a European Hotel chain. She then spent 16 years working at senior management level with European and American organisations. During that time, she was Head of Corporate Development for XO Global Communications Inc., Customer Marketing Manager, SAP UK, and has worked in, and managed, multinational teams.

Clare’s fascination with the brain led her to be in the first cohort globally of an Advanced Diploma in the Neuroscience of Leadership. Accreditations include the i4 Neuroleader assessment, Team Management Systems and Everything DiSC profiling.

A Professional Member of the Professional Speaking Association (PSA), Clare speaks extensively at industry associations and professional development conferences, delivering a series of ‘Change your Brain’ keynotes and plenaries.
