Curling at Canalside 🥌 – Learn, Play & Laugh on the Ice
Ready to try something fun, different, and just a little bit quirky this winter? Come join us for curling at Canalside!
Curling is a sport where two teams slide polished granite stones, called “rocks,” down a sheet of ice toward a circular target area called the “house.” The goal is simple: get your team’s stones closer to the center of the house than your opponent’s to score points. It’s strategic, social, and surprisingly addictive- even if you’ve never stepped on the ice before.
Cost:
- $18 per person for curling (does not include lunch), price includes curling, tax & service fees only
- Minimum 4 people, maximum 10 people per lane. This event will be rescheduled or canceled if there is less than 4 people who purchased a ticket.
What’s Included:
- Professional instructor to teach you the basics
- All equipment: stones, grippers & sliders, brushes
Schedule & Meeting Spot:
- We will meet at Southern Tier restaurant at 12:00 pm for a quick lunch and socializing. The price of the ticket does NOT include lunch.
- After lunch, we’ll walk over to the ice rink at Canalside together.
Important Notes:
- We will arrive 15-20 minutes before our reservation time of 1 pm for curling and check in at the Winter Pavilion.
- All participants MUST fill out the Assumption of Risk Waiver for The Ice at Canalside before getting on the ice.
No experience needed—just bring warm clothes, a good attitude, and a willingness to try something new. Come slide some rocks, cheer on your mates, and enjoy a fun winter day together!
