This is an easy and beautiful hike around upper and lower Goldwater lake. The hike is 2.4 miles with an elevation gain of 134 feet. Very scenic with the fresh smell of pine throughout the trail. We will meet at the fishing dock which is directly below the main parking lot for upper Goldwater. This hike is not just a hike, it's more about connecting with other people. For that reason, we will be walking at a medium pace for plenty of conversation time. If you are looking for your typical fast paced, aerobic type hike then this hike is probably not for you. Please be sure you are in adequate shape for a hike with no medical conditions that could cause issues for you. Also please bring some bottled water with you. We want you to be safe, have lots of fun, and meet new people. If you want to bring a guest, they need to be a member and RSVP themselves.
There is a 3.00 fee to get into Goldwater lake. If you use a credit or debit card with a chip, you will need to just put it in the machine and take it back out quickly. It does not take chip cards so if you do it quickly, it just does a swipe instead of trying to read the chip and it works. I had to learn the hard way so I want to save you some frustration. You can also bring 3.00 cash instead. Hope to see everyone there.
