At our next meetup, we will examine the technologies that could eventually make mind uploading possible. We will begin with what can already be done today, including brain imaging, neural implants, brain–computer interfaces, digital avatars, voice cloning, personal knowledge bases, memory archives, and AI models trained to reproduce aspects of an individual’s personality.

We will then compare several possible paths toward mind uploading. Could scientists map and simulate every neuron and synapse? Could a mind be reconstructed from memories, behavior, language, and personal data? Might biological brain functions be gradually replaced with synthetic components? Or could consciousness be transferred into an artificial brain, a cloned body, or an entirely digital environment?
The meeting will also address the difficult question of timing. Which developments may become realistic within the next decade, which could require several generations, and which remain purely theoretical? We will distinguish genuine scientific progress from speculation while considering how unexpectedly rapid advances in AI might change today’s predictions.

Finally, we will explore the possible role of artificial superintelligence. Human researchers may be unable to fully decode consciousness or map every process occurring within the brain. A future ASI, however, might discover the organizing principles of memory, identity, qualia, and conscious experience—and develop reconstruction methods that we cannot yet imagine.
Join us for an accessible and open discussion about where mind-uploading technology stands today, the different roads it might take, and whether ASI could ultimately transform mind uploading from a philosophical possibility into a practical reality.
