Looking for a grounding reset after the weekend? Or a peaceful start to your week?

๐ŸŒฟ This group is an opportunity to recharge, take a pause from your busy schedule, and immerse yourself in the medicine of nature. It's also a place for connection and community with others who share a similar appreciation for the mind-blowing beauty of the natural world.

At this event we'll be connecting with each other, with nature, and with an inner sense of awe via an introduction exercise and a seated meditation. This will be followed by a grounding walk through Balboa Park's gorgeous trails.

โœ… Agenda:
1. Introductions and Intention Setting (15 min)
2. Seated Meditation: Awe & Interconnectedness (25 min)
3. Meditative Walk on wooded trails (15 min guided, 15 min free form)
4. Brief Journaling & Debrief (15 min)

๐Ÿ“Location: Sixth and Upas Trails Gateway, in the Northwest corner of Balboa Park

We'll be gathering under the trees a few hundred feet into the park from the street corner. If you walk toward the Marston House (listed on Apple/Google maps) that will take you to the right area. You will see us on a large white/maroon/green picnic blanket on the grass!

๐ŸŽ’ What to Bring: Comfortable shoes and a towel, mat or blanket to sit on as the grass can be damp

NOTE: Sometimes a Qi Gong group runs nearby at a similar time. Make sure to check with group leader that you're in the right place or cross reference my profile picture, as this has been confusing for members in the past.

๐Ÿš— Parking available along the entry road to the park.

๐Ÿ’š About Me: I'm an ecotherapist, clinical psychology postdoctoral fellow, and humongous nature enthusiast.
Disclaimer: I do NOT offer therapy at Meetup groups, and these groups are not a substitute for therapy. However, my training in ecotherapy and mindfulness practices helps me make these experiences effective, grounding, and accessible.

I look forward to sharing my love of the outdoors with you!
