Mindful Movement Hiking Meetup – Connect with Nature, Yourself, and Others

Welcome to Mindful Movement Hiking Meetup — a space where hiking meets intention, presence, and community. Our group is for anyone who loves being outdoors, loves hiking, and wants to experience nature not just as scenery, but as a grounding, calming, and energizing part of life.

Each hike blends moderate movement with mindfulness, inviting you to tune in and reconnect — with the trail, with your body, and with your breath. We pause to admire the views, listen for birdsong, and appreciate the wildlife around us.

On every hike, we also take five minutes to stand or sit in silence, soaking in the natural world with all our senses.

Beyond that, you might find:

*A deeper sense of calm and clarity

*Relief from stress and mental clutter

*A stronger connection to your body and breath through conscious walking

*Meaningful conversations with like-hearted people

*A chance to reconnect with the present moment

*A growing appreciation for the rhythms of the natural world

Our hikes are not races — they’re journeys. I typically look at how long the AllTrails app says a hike will take at a moderate pace add a generous cushion so we can go slower if needed and/or take the time to pause, breathe, and appreciate the surroundings. Whether you're experienced or new to hiking, all are welcome. Come as you are, move at a reasonable pace, and leave feeling more grounded, open, and alive.

P.S. Since your organizer also loves being on the water, she might throw in some kayaking or canoeing events.
