Checking In - Testing the Waters

Details

Hi all!

I'm pretty sure I've decided not to allow MOSI to disappear from the face of the Earth. It was and is just too important and valuable to allow that to happen. But to be honest, it was very difficult to sustain. Renting practice space cost just a little more than the income in the form of donations. And as you may know, we never charged fees for MOSI classes or sessions. We offered MOSI as a gift, as seemed perfectly appropriate and apt. But we didn't have quite enough support to sustain it financially this way. So this will be an open conversation as we begin to revive MOSI.

There is no actual event scheduled for this date -- Sat. July 6. But I had to post a date and time -- and location -- to be able to make this posting. My real purpose here is to gauge interest in organizing future classes and sessions in MOSI. I will only do this if there is a very significant amount of interest. And you can signal your interest simply by indicating you plan to attend. This will not commit you to anything, but please only say you're coming if you really want to dip your feet in as a newcomer to MOSI, or to return to MOSI after a long post-pandemic break.

I want to return both to practice and to teaching and facilitating. I love MOSI with all of my heart. Nothing has been more liberating for me in my entire life! It came to me as a gift, and I want to go on offering it as a gift. But most of all, I want to teach future teachers who can sustain this after my eventual passing from this world -- and bring the practice to the wider and wilder world, in Santa Fe and far beyond. This practice is far too beautiful not to revive and cultivate in our world.
