Event Description:
Welcome to our first Mindful Walk at Bass Lake! This gathering is a gentle opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and simply be present.
What to Expect:
• We’ll begin with a brief introduction, where I’ll share a little about myself and what inspired this group. I’ve been deeply influenced by Eckhart Tolle’s teachings, which emphasize noticing life as it is and being fully present in each moment. This space is inspired by that energy — a simple, heart-centered way to connect with nature and each other.
• After our welcome, we’ll take a 30–60 minute walk around the lake. The pace will be comfortable for everyone, whether you prefer to walk slowly and pause often, or move a little more steadily.
• During the walk, we’ll simply notice sights, sounds, sensations, and the shared energy of the group. There’s no instruction, no pressure, no need to speak — just being together in presence.
• We may pause briefly to observe something in nature, take a deep breath, or reflect silently, depending on what feels right.
Winter Guidance:
• Dress warmly in layers, including hats and gloves if needed.
• Wear comfortable shoes for walking on trails.
• Optional: bring water or a small thermos for a warm drink.
• Even a short walk or brief pause counts — presence is what matters, not distance or speed.
Who This Is For:
• Anyone in Southwest Wake County / Holly Springs interested in mindful walking, connecting with nature, and exploring presence.
• No prior experience with mindfulness is required — curiosity and openness are all you need.
This gathering is a gentle, heart-centered way to begin the year with slowing down, noticing, and connecting — with yourself, others, and the natural world around you. I look forward to sharing this first walk with you!
