The Stomach Meridian in Traditional Chinese Medicine plays a crucial role in receiving and processing food, converting it into energy (Qi), and distributing nutrients throughout the body.
Beyond physical digestion, the Stomach Meridian is also associated with our ability to "digest" and process emotions and life experiences.
When the Stomach Meridian is not flowing freely, it can lead to worry, anxiety, overthinking, and physical symptoms like nausea, indigestion, and fatigue. The Stomach Meridian is connected to the Earth element and embodies the element's qualities of receiving, processing, and integrating nourishment along with providing stability and grounding energy. A healthy Stomach Meridian, reflecting a balanced Earth element, ensures efficient physical digestion and nutrient absorption.
Join Gwyn for a Qigong class designed to balance the energy of the stomach meridian by tapping on specific acupressure points as well as using qigong forms, breathwork and visualization techniques.
The weekly Friday classes are practice based (we spend less time in our intellect learning about the "why's and hows" and more time in our bodies just experiencing the practice).
These classes are made up of a Hatha Yoga warm up, Qigong Forms, Breathwork and Visualization techniques.
