Lake Blanch Trail Hike/Tobacco Ceremony

Details
Let's go outside and enjoy the sunshine of this spring season!
Our first outdoor activity will be a hike at Lake Blanch in Big Cottonwood Canyon. We'll meet at Jerry's house (1773 Hidden Valley Club Drive) at 7:30 AM and then drive together to the trailhead. This trail is a few hours, significant elevation gain and a challenge.
All Trails identifies this as a Hard Hike with a 2000 foot elevation gain. The sites are amazing!
This incredible hike is often called one of the best hikes in the Twin Peaks Wilderness Area. It features a beautiful mountaintop lake, awesome views, and abundant wildlife.
The demanding climb is worth every step! At the top lie three beautiful lakes - Lake Blanche, Lake Florence, and Lake Lillian. The views down into the canyon below are breathtaking. Extra water, a headlamp, and insect repellent are recommended during the summertime. Bring food/snacks.
We will meet at Jerry’s house and carpool to the trailhead in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
